Responsibilities:

• Attend PB/Treasures segment meetings to provide CIO input
• Provide weekly updates on market developments and CIO house views to PB/Treasures segment colleagues
• Oversee the translation of CIO materials (CIO Perspectives, CIO Insights, ad hoc reports) from English to Traditional Chinese and modify them to be client-friendly in a domestic setting
• Support RMs in client meetings by presenting CIO's top-down investment view
• Provide HQ with regular updates on HK's on the ground sentiments as well as feedback from key stakeholders
• Contribution of macro investment views
• Initiate investment themes together with CIO Strategist team
• Perform macro investment research and data analysis on industry/sector trends, and thematic investment strategies
• Contribute articles to Chinese media using CIO views
• Occasional media interviews

Requirements:

• University Degree in Commerce/ Finance/ Economics or related degrees preferrably with more than five years of experience in monitoring investment trends and market risks
• Postgraduate or qualification of CFA is preferable.
• Solid experience in Equity, fixed income, commodities, strategy or investment analyst
• Good Wealth management and investment knowledge with strong market sense
• Knowledge of financial and product intelligence, especially for HK market
• Sound investment knowledge, verbal and written presentation skills
• Highly analytical and numerate
• Team player, disciplined and hard working with training / coaching skills
• Excellent communication skills: Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
