About the Department
The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.
Group Finance
We support enhanced decision-making to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders. We are responsible for providing insights into the performance of the Group through financial, regulatory, and performance reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform monthly financial reporting and closing for non-banking subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Prepare accounting entries, perform GL reconciliations, and support SAP accounting activities.
- Prepare and upload trial balances and consolidation reporting information in accordance with Group reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of management reporting schedules, including investment, exposure, and P&L analysis.
- Support regulatory and statutory reporting activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, XBRL filings, and audit schedules, and coordinate information requests from auditors.
- Process billing, intercompany transactions, and cost recovery activities accurately and on a timely basis.
- Support accounting assessments and analyses for specific accounting matters as required.
- Liaise with Business Units, Tax, and other stakeholders to obtain information required for reporting and audit purposes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and system enhancements.
- Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements (e.g. CFR/SAP upgrades)
- Perform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as required.
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance, or relevant professional certification (e.g. CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Basic knowledge of SFRS/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as SAP and reporting/consolidation tools is advantageous.
- Experience in statutory reporting and XBRL filing would be an added advantage.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and deliver quality work under tight timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
