About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Examiner to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience conducting Asset Based Lending (ABL) field examinations and preparing comprehensive reports for commercial lenders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engagements independently, interacting directly with borrowers and lending institutions, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality work product in a fast-paced consulting environment.

5 years of AssetWriter software experience is required for this position.

 
Responsibilities

Conduct independent Asset Based Lending field examinations for banks, finance companies, and commercial lenders.
Analyze accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and financial reporting systems.
Perform collateral testing and evaluate risks associated with pledged assets.
Review financial statements, borrowing base certificates, aging reports, inventory reports, and general ledger activity.
Prepare detailed field examination reports and supporting schedules using Asset Writer software.
Identify operational, accounting, and collateral risks and communicate findings clearly to clients.
Conduct borrower interviews and assess internal controls and business processes.
Travel to borrower locations throughout the United States as required.
Review work performed by junior examiners and provide guidance and mentorship.
Maintain strong relationships with lenders and borrower management teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
Minimum 8-10 years of Asset Based Lending field examination experience.
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and inventory collateral analysis.
Extensive experience preparing field examination reports.
Proficiency with AssetWriter software is required (minimum of 5 years).
Strong understanding of commercial lending, collateral monitoring, and financial statement analysis.
Ability to manage engagements independently from planning through report issuance.
Willingness to travel as needed.
