Description
Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Secured Lending, Equipment & Transportation Finance practice. The ideal candidate will come with 5-8 years of experience representing lenders, banks, and financial institutions, drafting and negotiating loan and lease agreements, and structuring, negotiating, and executing financing transactions. Experience handling sophisticated finance deals is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security agreements, guaranties, equipment leases, and related financing documents
- Structure and document secured lending and financing transactions, including equipment finance arrangements
- Conduct due diligence on borrowers, collateral, and transaction structures
- Advise clients on lien perfection, priority, and UCC compliance
- Coordinate closings and manage post-closing obligations
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external counsel throughout the transaction process
Requirements
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in good standing in New York
- 5-8 years of experience practicing in secured lending, equipment finance, or commercial finance matters
- Experience representing lenders, banks, or financial institutions and handling complex financing transactions
- Experience with sophisticated real estate and non-real estate finance transactions highly preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with junior and senior attorneys
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact directly with clients and counterparties
