DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business. Our EMEA M&A Diversified Industries team is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients in the broad industrial sector. The team works in close partnership with the Diversified Industries coverage team advising prominent industrial companies in the EMEA region across subsectors including automotive, aerospace & defence, building materials, capital goods, chemicals, industrial technology, paper & packaging, transportation logistics, and infrastructure.
As a Vice President in the Investment Banking EMEA M&A Diversified Industries team, you will play a key leadership role in driving strategic dialogue with clients, running day-to-day execution workstreams on live transactions, and partnering with senior bankers to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive content and messaging for strategic client meetings and pitches regarding M&A opportunities, transaction positioning, and strategic alternatives.
- Lead day-to-day execution by coordinating internal and external parties (coverage, product partners, legal, accounting, due diligence providers) to deliver mandated transactions.
- Own process management on live deals (including timetable, workstreams, and deliverables) and ensure consistent, high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Define, guide, and review detailed valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses, ensuring analytical rigor and consistency of assumptions.
- Define, guide, and review detailed combination and other financial analyses in M&A execution and pitch situations (including synergy cases and accretion/dilution-type frameworks, as applicable).
- Interact regularly with senior team members and client management teams, representing the deal team with maturity and professionalism.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to analysts and associates, including coaching on technical work, storylining, and professional development.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Proven investment banking experience, with emphasis on live executions.
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment.
- Proficient financial modelling/valuation and analytical skills.
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
- Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate concepts concisely and defend their validity.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- European language skills (in addition to English).
- Prior exposure to Diversified Industries is helpful but not required.

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting applicable regulatory requirements relating to fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and, where appropriate, approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
