Description
Your Part-Time AR expertise is required for this southern-based business.Your CompanyWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to take ownership of the AR function within a friendly and collaborative team. This role will suit someone who is confident in managing debtor relationships, enjoys taking responsibility for outcomes, and can strike the right balance between being professional, approachable and firm when required.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts receivable, ensuring outstanding debts are collected in a timely manner while maintaining positive customer relationships.This is a hands-on role where you'll be given autonomy and ownership, with the expectation that you'll proactively manage the receivables process and take responsibility for achieving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function
- Process and allocate incoming payments
- Manage aged receivables and debtor accounts
- Conduct debt collection calls and follow-up on overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve customer account queries
- Perform account reconciliations and payment allocations
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Support month-end reporting and finance administration
- Utilise SAP Business One, Excel and other internal systems to manage accounts and reporting
- Build strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely payment outcomes
- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable position
- Strong debt collection and debtor management experience
- Confident having difficult conversations when required
- Professional, friendly and approachable communication style
- Able to remain firm and focused on outcomes while maintaining positive relationships
- Experience using SAP Business One, Microsoft Excel and other accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for your workload
- Permanent part-time opportunity working approximately 30 hours per week
