Job Description
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage key projects or initiatives within the designated business unit or function, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic goals.
* Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality output.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal performance data to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and improve customer experience.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product development, risk management, compliance, and technology, to achieve shared objectives.
* Prepare and present reports, proposals, and business cases to senior management, providing clear and concise recommendations.
* Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and achieve business outcomes.
* Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation for assigned projects or teams.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP) is a strong advantage.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior specialist role.
* Proven track record of successfully leading projects, initiatives, or teams to deliver tangible results.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Solid understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory landscape relevant to the specific business unit (e.g., Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Risk Management, Operations).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with relevant industry software/platforms.
