Job Summary:The Strategic Advisory Solutions (SAS) plays a crucial role in supporting Private Banking Relationship Managers (RMs) in providing tailored "One Bank Solution" to Ultra high-net-worth clients. This involves identifying suitable clients, understanding their requirements, and providing bespoke solutions leveraging DBS's Institutional Banking and Financial Markets capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Bespoke Solutions & Engagement: Understand UHNW client needs, and tailor solutions to engage clients across fund raising, M&A and bespoke investment solutions leveraging DBS's One Bank capabilities (Global Financial Markets, Institutional Banking, Strategic Advisory Group).
- Client Engagement: Build trusted partnership with RMs by providing strategic insights and expertise to their clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their overall business/investment goals, and delivering PB outcomes (AUM, Investment Product Revenue).
- RM Coverage and Impact: Building trusted relationships with PB RMs by delivering successful client outcomes and expanding SAS impact.
- Deal Origination: Identify market trends and originate Asia deal opportunities (including private markets and institutional products) to enhance DBS value proposition with the UHNW clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively partner with IBG, GFM, and internal DBS teams and influence stakeholders to ensure seamless support and achievement of PB client objectives.
- Follow up: Track client progress against key objectives, providing regular updates and insightful analysis to RMs and relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CFA, MBA or other relevant professional certifications is highly preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on M&A, financial markets (T&M), and/or capital markets. Experience working with UHNW clients or family offices is highly desirable.
- Ability to build rapport, trust, and lasting working relationships with RMs and UHNW clients and engage effectively is paramount. Strong interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills are essential.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across various departments within Private Banking (PB), Institutional Banking Group (IBG), and Capital Markets to ensure seamless execution of client solutions and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ability to understand risk issues and connect the dots to provide bespoke solutions for client requirements by leveraging DBS's product partners.
- Strong professional network with Asian private equity, private credit and financial sponsors is highly desirable.
- For this particular role, specific focus will be to cover the North Asia market. One is expected to have knowledge of high net-worth clients in this region.
