Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions - whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer.

Responsibilities

Analytics & Reporting

• Support month-end financial closing for business segment
• Prepare MIS reporting and analysis including monthly business performance reporting (Flash and Actuals), budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct deep dives and insightful financial analytics to highlight focus areas especially in Revenue, Expenses and balance sheet through customer profiling
• Ensure data integrity, accurate financial period close and relevant controls are met, including account ownership and timely completion of risk and controls checks
• Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions, and outline business impact

Business Planning

• Facilitate business and internal finance adhoc requests
• Assist in the development of presentations and content materials for senior management meetings
• Participate in team initiatives including digitization, reduction of manual processes to create a more efficient workflow
• Support business initiatives and engage in Business Finance transformation projects including implementation and testing of automation solutions
• Participate in cross functional project work and new product proposals to help drive the strategic agenda

Stakeholder Management

• Engage a range of stakeholders to support business unit in business planning and analysis
• Partner with both local and regional Institutional Banking Group (IBG) business stakeholders to understand business drivers and performance
• Daily interactions with working level stakeholders
• Work with Technology or within the team to develop dashboard & automation of current processes

Requirements

• Degree in Finance / Accounting or relevant fields, minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills. Proficient in Thinkcell is a plus
• Proficient in Data Analytical tools such as PowerBI, Copilot, Qliksense, Tableau
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail are must-have traits
• Good communication and time management skills
• Strong self-motivation, with ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment
• Willingness to assist the team especially where there is a tight deadline
