Description
Responsibilities- Support business units in building and maintaining strong internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes to GIA systems and tools and assess their impact on audit work.
- Conduct audit fieldwork, including risk‑based testing and documentation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Perform application control testing with guidance from IT audit specialists.
- Identify key risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and escalate issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with Group and local stakeholders throughout the audit cycle.
- Coordinate with internal assurance teams, second‑line functions, and external auditors to optimise audit coverage.
- Contribute to enhancements in GIA tools, continuous auditing, data analytics, and AI initiatives.
- Support special reviews, investigations, and ad hoc analytics work.
- Monitor audit findings and follow up until closure.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide value‑added audit insights.
- Participate in continuous improvement and technology‑driven audit enhancements.
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and support continuous business reviews.
- Pursue relevant training and professional qualifications as required.
Requirements
- Degree holder with 5+ years' internal/external audit experience; insurance or Big Four background preferred.
- Strong business judgement and understanding of insurance operations and regulatory expectations.
- Knowledge of ITGCs and application controls, with ability to assess design and effectiveness.
- Experience using data analytics and audit tools (e.g., TeamMate, Databricks, Python, Power BI).
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with high attention to quality.
- Demonstrates continuous learning and professional development commitment.
