About the team
Acquisition & Leveraged Finance Team is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing leveraged finance (LBO), acquisition finance and structured debt financing solutions for corporate and private equity clients in Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) market.
Role requirements
- Provide support for origination, structuring and execution activities for event driven financing and structured debt financing opportunities
- Contribute development and enhancement of client relationships via preparation of financing proposals, pitch books and market analysis
- Assist with credit processing and execution including credit/financial analysis, review of due diligence materials, term sheet and legal documents as well as preparation of credit memo, CF model, valuation analysis, credit rating application
- Take the lead in leveraged finance and structured debt finance portfolio management
- Ensure smooth collaboration with RMs, Sector Bankers, other Product and Solution teams to service the client
- Pursue above tasks in compliance with Mizuho's internal policy and guidelines
Essential Functions
- Support development of the Bank's leverage finance, acquisition finance and structured debt solution business across Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan)
- Contribution to the Bank's P&L through profit generation
- Identify event driven financing and structured debt financing opportunities through the Bank's network or public sources
- Ensure positive internal and external feedback on all deals and ability to generate repeat business
Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with complex CF modelling for leveraged finance (LBO), M&A, DCF as well as comparable valuation analysis
- Looking for a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills (written & oral) who enjoys building internal and external networks, jointly developing client solutions and ideas
- Builds good working relationship with other members and stakeholders and effectively collaborates with them to achieve team goals
- The individual should respect for and commits to high standards of business conduct and integrity in promoting deals/projects, conducting operations/ reporting, etc.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelor's degree holder in Business, Finance or related disciplines, preferably CPA, CFA qualification
- 2-3 years of experience in the origination and execution of leveraged Finance (LBO), acquisition finance and structured finance transactions as a lead arranging bank/bookrunner
- Experience in CF modeling, valuation analysis and credit analysis
- Experience in preparation of credit memo, pitch books and other presentation materials
- Good understanding of capital market products, syndication and credit ratings
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and another Asian language is preferred
